What is this magical Castle?

The origins of the castle date back to the Middle Ages. That is more than eight hundred years of history and turbulent events. The castle is located in Domanice in Lower Silesia. For many years, it was the seat of the Brandenburg royal family. Its present form was shaped in the 18th century, when the existing knight’s residence was rebuilt. The characteristic high tower was built in 1777 Another reconstruction of the castle was carried out at the beginning of the 19th century, when it was given a neo-classical form.

The castle in its current form is the result of various alterations, renovations, and modifications that it has undergone over several centuries. The last changes took place in 1990 and 1991, when the garden pavilion and the bathhouse were renovated. Since 2022, the estate is owned by our dear friend, Maciej Musiałowski. Domanice is a land filled with arts, music, dance and poetry. In the future, a conservatory, a gallery, a small theater and a boarding school will also be built in the castle, the main goal of which will be to support

children and teenagers in discovering their talents.

What is Silesia?

Silesia, is historical region that is now in southwestern Poland. Silesia was originally a Polish province, with Wrocław being the dominant capital established by the Slavic Ślężanie tribe in the 8th century.

The region became a possession of the Bohemian crown in 1335, passed with that crown to the Austrian Habsburgs in 1526, and was taken by Prussia in 1742. In 1945, at the end of World War II, Silesia was one of the regions of German territory that was granted to Poland by the Soviet Union in compensation for land in eastern Poland that was incorporated into the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.
